You may need to get a phone or device holder for this unit, depending on how your dash is built, but i would say it is so worth it.
Setting up this unit was simple. It works and modernized my car in great ways. Everything is very responsive, and the screen colors are vivid.
Definitely worth the price.
Easy to install
I test a lot of CarPlay screens, and while I've used better this model from AboutBit is a very useful and fairly well made budget option that does pretty much everything you might need without breaking the bank.
At this price point the first thing to suffer is usually the screen, but the 10,26" widescreen on this model is crisp and clear, and very responsive to the touch. I've yet to need to double tap to get it to respond to an input, which would be a dealbreaker for me.
Installation is a piece of cake. You can hook it up to the Aux input of your stock stereo, so no messing around with wiring it necessary. Pairing to my Google Pixel is seamless, and the audio quality is streets above the FM Bluetooth receiver I used to rely on before I discovered these devices.
I've used better, but if you're looking for a very capable CarPlay option that won't break the bank this is a decent candidate.
The touch screen is great!
One of the best decisions I made in 2024. I drive for work everyday and use my GPS and listen to podcasts. With my 2014 suv, I don’t have the convenience of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Since I have an Android phone for work and my personal phone is Apple, I’m constantly switching back and forth with Bluetooth in the car. This solved it and it doesn’t wirelessly. Even my wife’s new car isn’t wireless for Android Auto. It was super easy to install and the power supply offers a USB port in the cigarette lighter adapter. Love this thing!
